Things that life doesn't prepare you for

I'm pretty sure if you were expecting this picture to be relevant, you'd be sadly mistaken. Incredibly mistaken in fact. So at around 5:10 a.m. or so last night I started heading back from a friend's place after some casual fighting games, Bomberman, and everything else in-between. About the night before I had realized I only had to deal with five or so more nights with my nicely assigned roommate. I had thought this would save me from any more surprises.

Apparently not.

Upon walking in while there was plenty of light outside. I find him in bed. Nothing new. But no, it had to be in bed with another man. One of which had been around a few times before. You know, I really don't mind things like this. But having to walk in on something like that is not pleasant. Especially that early in the morning when you're pretty zoned out. More or less I dusted myself off and went to bed.

Except not.

Around some obscene time I don't remember anymore, his family busted in to help him move out a few things screaming like banshees to the point I had thought it was his one usual acquaintance. Unfortunately not, since it was only his mother and his aunt who were both equally "courteous" to the fact I was in bed. More or less I didn't quite want to go back to bed anymore and decided to lay there. Of course his aunt would have to take a phone call in the room and whoever she was talking to had some complaint to the fact I was sleeping despite it not even being afternoon yet.

Yes, I'm lazy. I got home at 5 a.m. and didn't want to get up yet. On the other hand, my said roommate goes to sleep at 10 p.m. and fails to get up before afternoon hits. I am completely and utterly lazy. Hilariously enough, when I decided to get up and my roommate returned. He apologized for the fact his family was so loud. I more or less wanted to remark that I understood where he got it from but decided it wasn't worth it anymore.

Morale of the story? If your assigned roommate in college is gay. Set incredibly strict guidelines and save yourself the grief later.

Wow, I feel so bad for you. That's what I'm afraid of when going to college this year. Walking into my dorm and finding my roommate in bed with someone. I just wish people respected other people's privacy.

But at least he was nice enough to apologize.

...

UGH! Roommates, mixed opinions about them!

Meh, I was half expecting it. I just didn't think it would happen so late in the year. More or less, just set some guidelines and save yourself the trouble later.

Oh and yeah, he didn't really apologize for the whole issue of that, just his family being obnoxious in the morning. I'd probably not want him to bring up the other issue when I got up, since it'd probably just cause me to have some sort of trauma relapse.

By the way, where/how have you been? I don't think I've talked to you since like the beginning of the year or something.

Yeah, that sounds right.

I've been so busy. I graduate next month. (ugh) I have high school finals and whatnot, then I have to work all summer (along with taking some college courses in the summer,) and then in August, I go to my college! And then I have classes...lol.

At the moment, it's just finishing high school AND jobs.

How've you been otherwise? I hope well.

Oh, and I am on my sister's account, so that's why my SN is different. XD

Yeah, but High School finals aren't real finals. I wish I could be taking things like that about now. But yeah, what the heck you're making me feel lazy again. It is your last summer before you start college so hopefully you get a chance to have SOME fun. Heck I'll be doing the exact same thing but at least I'm planning to head out to AX to relax a bit.

Anyhow I realize all I ever do on here is post about the bad things, or sort of anyway. But otherwise I've been in pretty good shape and possibly taking advantage of college too much. Next year I actually really need to study rather then pretending like am most of the time.

But yeah, make sure to shoot me an IM sometime if you ever see me over the summer or come next year. Especially next year if you'll be living with a roommate of some sort, since I'm sure you'll have plenty to say.

Too bad I can't unsee it. The real ironic thing is that night when I was at my friend's place, he said just to stay all morning and not bother heading back. In hindsight, I should have just taken his advice.
